Low FODMAP Diet Package

What is the Low FODMAP Diet Package?

The Low FODMAP Diet Package systematically implements the diet in three stages to determine which specific FODMAP groups contribute to your symptoms, and which do not. This reduces the number of foods that need to be avoided long-term, so that you can confidently expand your diet without concern about symptoms.

Note: For people seeking to follow a low-FODMAP diet for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) with or without Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) or Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), please visit the Customized Services for hEDS, MCAS, and POTS page.

Package Pricing: The Low FODMAP Diet Package offers savings compared with booking the same services as individual Clinical Nutrition Appointments. The overview of the 3-Stage Low FODMAP Diet session is billed at the standard clinical rate, while the elimination, reintroduction, and liberalization stages are offered at a reduced rate.

What is the Structure of Services in the Low FODMAP Package?

The Low FODMAP Diet Package is made up of four separate services that systematically implement this three-stage diet.

1. Overview of the 3-Stage Low FODMAP Diet: This initial session provides an introduction to the three-stage clinical approach. We will review the methodology and discuss the long-term clinical benefits of using this structured method to manage digestive distress.

2. Teaching the Initial (Elimination) Stage: During this phase, I provide comprehensive coaching on which foods to avoid and which can be safely consumed within each category, including proteins, dairy, vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, sweeteners, and condiments.

3. Teaching the Intermediate (Reintroduction) Stage: This stage focuses on the structured reintroduction of specific FODMAP groups. You will receive detailed instructions on how and when to reintroduce these foods, including the precise amounts required to establish your tolerance in each category.

4. Liberalization and Beyond: In the final stage, we personalize your diet by reincorporating FODMAP foods that do not trigger symptoms. We also cover essential “Low FODMAP and Beyond” nutrition education, highlighting non-FODMAP factors that may impact your overall health.

How Much Does the Low FODMAP Package Cost?

The cost of the Low FODMAP Diet Package is $510 (GST exempt), and to make submitting to extended benefits easy, receipts are broken down into the four individual services:

  • Overview of the 3-Stage Low FODMAP Diet ($150)
  • Teaching the Initial (Elimination) Stage ($120)
  • Teaching the Intermediate (Reintroduction) Stage ($120)
  • Liberalization and Beyond ($120)
